It took me forever to read this book. Partly it is because I just don't have time and partly because the book moved slowly. I think the rating is generous because I thought it was quaint. I wanted to say that it was cute but I think quaint fits the bill accurately. As a spiritual person who is a believer in God I would recommend it to the Christians out there and it had enough suspense to make and keep it interesting.

It's about Sarah, a young Amish woman who struggles to hide her artistic talent in a community that does not welcome it. She is allowed to paint quilt squares on barns but she longs to do more and can not due to the restrictions set upon her by her faith and her community. When the barns her paintings are on are being burned down in comes in Mackenzie to investigate... and fall in love with this determined and conflicted Amish woman. Will they find the arsonist before their hearts burn with the fire of their love? (I couldn't resist!)
