As usual with Lauren Dane's books my favorite part is the characters. She truly has a knack for writing believable characters. She writes them in a way that makes you feel like you've known them forever. No one does characters like Lauren Dane!

This is a werewolf book! It is an adult read.

Kari Warner is the main character and unbeknownst to her she is the mate of a werewolf. She gets attacked by what she thinks is a dog but is really a werewolf. The doctor on staff happens to be a werewolf and knows that this is the Alpha's chosen mate.

There is a whole lot going on in this book! Just when you think you have it figured out, surprise! Ascension has many twists and turns mixed with sweetness, stubbornness, and some hot coupling.

I recommend Ascension to everyone who likes adult werewolf books!
