This series, in my opinion, has the most potential to follow Harry Potter. They aren't the same, but in the fantasy category I think these books will do really well. I enjoyed it tremendously. A little dark, some death, suspenseful, witty, and well written.
I've heard complaints that he uses big words, so it isn't written appropriately for the age group, but I think the big words will expand vocabularies, so people should just stop complaining. Buy a dictionary if that's the case. Ok, that was a little mean.
I love how he writes. I would recommend it to everyone, but probably not kids who are susceptible to nightmares. This book can be scary at times.
