One from the ‘Horrid Henry’ line of readings, ‘Horrid Henry and the Football Fiend’ is divided into four short tales where he finds himself in all kinds of predicaments and in all sorts of trouble, hence living up to his name!

It is an easy and fun read, and I can see why it would keep children interested and giggling with pleasure at the troublesome situations that Henry finds himself in. Although it proves to be quite humorous, it is not very deep and its content is not meaningful. It would be suitable for late Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 learners.
