Clever--although it could have used some serious editing. The protagonist Arthur has serious daddy issues and spends life alternately trying to ignore his father's influence or to attract his attention. While the riffing on Shakespearean plays, characters, and style is fun, there's only so much whining and navel-gazing that a reader should have to take. I'd be interested to know what people thought of the "Shakespeare" play included in the novel.
