blueskies982 Listening to Libravox recording

blueskies982 This book is just hard to read. I find it tedious. Emma is misguided, spoiled, and self important. I just can't identify with her. She meddles too much.

blueskies982 I'm 11% done with Emma: Poor Harriet! Emma is treating her like a total charity case, trying to make her in her own image! NO! I'm glad Mr. Knightly is the voice of reason, but he's in for a lifetime of frustration.

blueskies982 Interaction between Harriet and Emma (conversation) when they're walking beside the parsonage. Interesting comments about the necessity of getting married vs. not getting married. I have to keep in mind the roles and expectations of women.

blueskies982 Let's think of this as the education of Emma
