This is the second in Dare's Regency Vampyre trilogy which is a spinoff from her Regency Werewolves trilogy. Some of the werewolves make an appearance much to the dismay of the vampryes but not to the witches who love them.

Matthew, Earl of Blodswell, was a knight who fought with Richard the Lionheart before being reborn a vampyre on the battlefield 600+ years ago. While he is thrilled his protege of 200+ yrs found his mate in the first book of the series, he finds himself lonely and envious of him here in the second. When he sees a woman dancing in the middle of a rainstorm he is captivated by her.

Rhiannon is the coven's weather witch. When she meets up again with Matthew, her powers suddenly seem to go bonkers and are hard to control. Her lycan brothers-in-law are less than thrilled with Matthew's interest in Rhi.

Dare has found a unique solution to the problem of a non-immortal mating with immortal (well, long-lived actually).

This, like the other stories in both series, is a funny paranormal romance sure to please. Dare does a good job of writing this as a stand alone book for those unfamiliar with the series or the Regency Werewolves trilogy without boring fans who have read the both series in order.
