It's a well written and plotted story that's filled with angst, lots of misunderstandings and plenty of faulty communication. In some ways it's a typical shifter falls for a human story but there are enough differences in the rules of Dan's world to make it unique and interesting. Then there's Dan and Blythe themselves. Both men have very strong personalities that make you want to get to know them better and how the plot plays out allows that. They butt heads often and in doing so, a villain steps in and almost ruins everything, but with a little creative wrangling the author works it out, letting our furry guy and his new mate to have the HEA they want.
