Review by Jacob:

This book was intriguing. It was about a boy named Brian who was flying in a cargo plane. After the pilot had a heart attack, Brian faces the challenge of his life...survival. All he has is a hatchet, himself, and his wits.

The themes in this book were about determination to overcome fears and challenges. For example, there was the time when Brian had to retrieve his hatchet from the bottom of a lake because the hatchet was his only hope of surviving. So he never gave up. Even when he needed a breath he kept swimming and swimming. That made me think that when you put your heart and mind to it, you can accomplish anything.

I liked this book. It made me feel stronger and hopeful. I would recommend it to people who like adventure stories.
