A beautiful book and so different from what I usually read. It took some time to get into it, but once I did and also had a family tree (printed out from the internet as there isn't one in my copy), I got totally lost in Macondo.[return]And the end... oh, the end. Somehow predictable, somehow I still had hope, but when it came it was the only logical conclusion to a great magical tale. But it still killed me.[return]And at all times, I really believed Macondo and the Buendias existed. The fantasy and magical elements weren't too frequent to make it unbelievable.
