Another chapter in the life of the Butcher Boy and once again my heart was racing and I couldn't sleep til I finished.

I am amazed at the situations Thomas Perry writes our "hero" into and then how he gets him out. He is constantly being painted into a corner but always finds a "magic" door to help him get away.

The BB is forced back into his old life as an assassin as the Mafia won't let him retire. They keep coming after him and the only way he will ever get some peace is to start killing all the heads of the Familys all over America.

One thing that puzzles me is that Mr Perry never gets his hero to disguise himself when he is out in public, except for maybe, a baseball cap or a hoodie- he never uses elaborate facial disguises to help him blend in< which I guess takes the tension to another level.

Loved. loved this series.
