it was amazing
bookshelves: medicine, 2011, 2012
Read from September 15 to 19, 2011

Given Dubin's child porn infractions, I feel a bit uncomfortable enjoying his book so much. But it's undeniable: the man teaches a mean EKG.

Bram Yeah, you can go from zero (as in no clue what EKG stands for let alone what it's used for) to a pretty solid ability to read rhythms in one long weekend with this book. It feels sort of miraculous, actually. Brushing up now before my internal rotation.

By the way, the 4th comment in the link above (by 'Diagnosed with Dubinitis') is a classic.

What kind of medicine do you practice, BB? (And is there an easier/less awkward way of phrasing this question? 'What kind of doctor are you?' doesn't sound so hot either.)

Bram Haha. But you can probably quote large chunks of Robbins from memory.
