This is a very well constructed fable and another good title to introduce to people who don't take comics seriously. The lead characters are compelling and unique, viewing the world from a lion's perspective, but with the same fears and dreams as us humans. And for a book about war, it is remarkably apolitical. It has a lot to say, but doesn't say it explicitly. You are left to interpret your own meaning and draw your own conclusions.
