Very well written. The story line was interesting - it dealt with old-time Zimbabwe (Rhodesia) and the struggle between whites and their Black hired help. I was attracted the book because it won the Nobel prize for literature. I didn't know there was such a thing. Funny side note, I went to Amazon.com to make sure that was the exact award for the book and I had a hard time confirming it. I read the publisher's review, the reviews they put on the actual book, I even enlarged the cover on Amazon. You would think they would brag it up big time. Strange. The enlargement of the cover did not show it but the small version shows the award. Wonder why that is.

I read it on our travels home from visiting Wayne and Carina in Zimbabwe.
