This is a retelling of The 12 Dancing Princesses, with some Romanian flavour, backstory, and openings for future continuation. For those unfamiliar with that tale: Prince Vasile has 12 daughters. His daughters are cursed - every morning they awaken with sore feet and worn-through slippers, handsome men around the palace always disappear, anyone who tries to observe the curse falls into a never-waking sleep, and huge natural disasters beset the castle if any of the princesses leave. This is the story of Reveka, an herbalist's apprentice, who is determined to break the curse (and earn the dowry promised as a reward).

Cute story, well written. Nothing especially stand-out in the positive or negative. Made a nice afternoon read.
