2.5 stars. This is the story of Mihai, a young villager ostracised by his family and the warg Garrick (also an outcast) who befriends him. The writing style is simple and slightly rushed and it reminded me of some YA novels. I felt that Mihai's and Garrick's alienation from their families was too similar. There's not much in the way of sex or even sexual tension in this short story. Just a little chaste kissing at the end. However I think the author shows some promise so I will keep an eye out for the next book which I presume will feature Brand.
