Jennifer “Two Bad Ants” by Chris Van Alllsburg, was fun to read because it reminded me of two little rascals being sneaky running around the town. These two ants wanted the crystals for themselves but learned later on that it’s better to do what your job is because there are consequences with any decisions that are made. I don’t think this story was boring but it was defiantly different compared to “The Stranger” and “The Wretched Stone”. This story seem more realistic because people see ants in their homes all the time if there is food left out. It was neat to see the perspective of the ants and to show students this is what happens when they are running around the house in their eyes. They can see the adventure that comes about just because they went into a different route than their friends.

I do like the size of this book. I love how the pictures take up most of the pages and that the details of the lines in the visuals. I noticed that the text explains everything that is happening in the pictures. I noticed that the pictures are taken from a different focus or view, for example one photo can be seen far away such as seeing all of the ants in a row walking in the grass. Then there are other examples where the pictures are up close for example in the toaster while they are getting toasted. I enjoyed the different effects the pictures show. It makes it easier to see how the world of an Ant looks like.
