Read from September 13 to 14, 2011

Sharply written, tense and introspective, The 25th Hour is a strangely affecting and sad crime novel about characters that are so real and flawed I couldn't help but to be drawn into their lives.

John Have you seen the Spike Lee film adaptation? Brandon is a fan. I can't remember why I disliked it, but I did. (I haven't read the book)

Ben Lainhart The book is better - it's hangs a bit more in moral ambiguity and really focuses on the relationships between the characters. That said, I'm with Brandon on liking the movie. Edward Norton was the perfect choice. I'll have to see if I can find Brandon's review. I haven't seen the film in a long time but when I came across a cheap copy of the book a few weeks ago I had to pick it up.
