While not as earth-shattering as some of her other books (and in some ways very similar to The Wedding Journey) it was a cute romance with character growth on each side. The novel is certainly a look into the hospital conditions and surgery techniques of the time and seems very well researched. I would have liked to see more of a few secondary characters because they were so good, but one can't have everything.
