really liked it

I liked this continuation of Dan, Jeff and Evan's story a lot, and yet it didn't work quite as well as the first book for me. I wasn't completely convinced that Dan and Evan had a strong enough relationship (other than sex) without Jeff connecting them, to make the trio really balance out. Dan's emotions bounce around a lot and he sometimes seems a little unreasonable. But this is still an engaging story with a great equestrian setting, interesting secondary characters, and three heroes who deserve to be together. These two books also have to be one of the best examples of third person present tense writing I know of. Usually I dislike that, but in Kate Sherwood's hands I completely stopped noticing it.
