really liked it
bookshelves: mystery-suspense, young-adult, i-own
Read in January, 1996

I read and re-read this book quite a few times growing up as a teenager. I liked mysteries but I wasn't a big fan of the horror/thriller genre. This was perfect.

It's about a teenage girl who witnessed her mother's murder during a break-in and has been in a coma for the four years since then. She comes out of the coma and it's interesting to read about to her adjustments from immediately jumping to 17 from 13. It is emotionally hard on her. The suspense part of the book is that the "murderer" was never caught so he's out there and knows she woke up and that she'll probably remember who it was . . . oooohhh. Just gave me chills, I might have to read it again.
