Heretic is a book written by Sarah Singleton that is set in 1586, Elizabeth goes out into the woods one day and finds a girl Isabella LeLand who is a young girl look a-like creature and has features of an animal. The Dyer family has a priest hiding with them because a man is trying to hunt him down. Together in Heretic the girls Elizabeth and Isabella try to save Elizabeths family. Sarah Singleton uses flash backs for the two different histories. Singleton uses descriptive language to describe the characters. The author describes the past and present, Singleton changed the characters through the start middle and end, The author changed the emotions and descriptive words on the characters through Heretic. It is an interesting book, but confusing to understand. I recommend the book for year 8- adults.
