If I had just read the description I would never have read this book. I flipped through it and found myself caught.

I have to admit that I love books about food. The descriptions are so amazing and they always make me want to cook, although I rarely do and certainly not at this level.

The basic story is good, the writing fine but the character development is weak. Suddenly and for no reason that the book delivers, the male lead is totally in love with the feamle lead and vice versa. They are both of course quiry and attractive but they seem flat to me. It's not that I don't believe that love is inexplicable and surprising but this love is a bit too Harlequin for my taste. The sex was a total throw in. I did like Elena's independence and tough mindedness and the ghost stroy was interesting.
