I really liked this little book - it packs in a lot of information and includes some really good recipes (oven-dried tomatoes in olive oil, for example). It also includes instructions for easily making your own cheese and butter, something I've always wanted to try (must be all those Little House books I read when I was a kid). The author also includes helpful charts throughout, so you don't have to search through the individual recipes for info on how long you need to blanch a particular veggie or what type of storage environment a particular root crop prefers.
