I had trouble getting into this book. It really didn't grab me until almost halfway through, when I felt like it finally got interesting. It just felt like there was a lot of set up to get to the meat of the story. It's a strange Sopranos-ish story about curse workers, which I thought would be more compelling.

Kim what is a "curse worker"? Is that pc for "witch"?

Jen Strangely enough, no. Basically this is a world where a small percentage of the population is able to "curse" others. These curse workers have a specific type of curse they can do, like luck, death, dreams, etc. They curse through touch, so everyone wears gloves to protect themselves from being cursed unknowingly.
