Definitely glad I didn't buy this book.

The Major was a crotchety old man He was always complaining, judging, or muttering under his breath. On the other hand, Mrs. Ali didn't seem to have any flaws beyond being of a lower class than the major. The prose was mostly good, and the story was okay until the last few chapters, where it took a turn for the ridiculous. It was a fine book, but I won't really take anything from it now that I've read it. There are definitely worse books to read, but I don't think I would recommend this.
