Both readable and educational at the same time. I wish there were more books like this on other topics. Want to know something about history of cryptography? Then tis it the book for you; it covers the wole history beginning with ancient Egypt and Greece, lists the impact of cryptology and cryptoanalysis on the world wars, and it is rounded off by breef summary of possible future in quantum mechanics. Have you known how Alan Turing died and what was his role in Enigma break through? Beacause I have not and I was very surprised by that..
