I read this book in like an hour and half. Of course this book is targeted toward a teen audience, but I still really enjoyed it. I felt sorry for the main character, Rachel, who got sent to Blackthorn Academy (a boarding school), across the country, because she got busted for something she participated in. She was good friend and did not snitch on her fellow car borrowers, but they were terrible friends to her. Her parents ignored her until she got in trouble, but all they did was send her away. Just another example of parents who should never be parents. At the Academy she meets new friends, and is able to enjoy new classes and experiences. Her Criminology class sounded very interesting, and when the school master (Mr. Kim) disappears mysteriously, Rachel and her friends do all they can to find out what happened to him. Rachel discovers that she may be the reincarnation of a goddess who sent an evil god to the underworld.
