Patterson's books are like literary junk food for me - they are not intellectually nourishing but somehow, they are tasty and pleasurable to the palate! I don't have to think hard while reading them and yet they engross me. It has been awhile since I have read a Women's Murder Club book but this one didn't have the "sparkle" the earlier books had with the women's relationship.

I should mention too that Patterson loves to have his characters jump off bridges and then have a "swap out" with the person the police catch be paid by a "movie producer" to perform a stunt. Think up a new escape for your criminals! Read this same escape plan in another book of yours this summer!
