There's hardly any book that could get better than this!

The attraction between half vampire/half human catherine "Cat" Crawfield and and vampire bounty hunter Bones is explosive and lights the pages of book on fire.

Cats birth resulted from her mother being raped by a vampire. From her birth, after only 5 months, her mother has always been afraid of her and until 6 years ago kept her in the dark about her bloodline. Now though, she pushes Cat to kill as many vampires as she can for revenge.

Never questioning her mother's belief about vampires, Cat took the same views of them, until she was captured by Bones. Meeting her match, Bones is not believing one words she says about being a half and half, until he see proof.

Now he offers her a partnership in return of him not killing her. First off though, he must train her to be in tip top shape, then she begins acting as bait luring vampires out where Bones is waiting for the kill.

But more is building between them than hunting skills. As Bones begins showing his attraction for her, he also begins teaching her to reevaluate the beliefs her mother pressed upon her.

As they divulge deeper and deeper into the hunt, Cat must choose between her mother, who wants nothing to do with her b/c of her involvement with Bones, or Bones, the only person who has accepted her for what she truly is.

Picking both, she agrees to work for a secret government operation. But Bones once said he would always chase her if she ran, so the question is....will he now that she has?
