it was amazing
bookshelves: contemporary-horror

I basically couldn't put this book down. The story moves at such a pace that you don't even question the rapid changes within the community after the dome is in place. I was compelled to keep reading, and the closer I got to the end the more I was desperate to learn how everything would resolve. Unfortunately the last few pages of the book were the biggest disappointment because, after all of the wonderful storytelling up to that point, it just kind of ends with very little explanation of the payoff. Granted, over-explanation can sometimes do more to ruin the magic than just letting it be, but I still kind of wish it had resolved a little more effectively. If not for that (relatively minor) detail this book would have been a 5 star for me, given that it provided sheer entertainment for over a thousand pages with only a handful of lackluster pages at the end. I still highly recommend it, of course.
