I always wait anxiously for the next James Patterson book to be released, and I'm never disappointed (nor do I have long to wait these days as he cranks them out so regularly). If I have one complaint, it's that they are over way too soon.

Kill Me If You Can started out a little more slowly for me than usual for his books. The killing started off right away, and I was having a hard time warming to the characters, probably because of all the Russion interspersed. That changed pretty quickly, though, as our hero emerged and the suspense picked up. There is not much I can say without spoiling the plot, but I will say that Patterson and Karp sprang a "gotcha" in the middle of the book that I never saw coming in advance. From that point on, I was riveted and could not put the book down.

This is the first collaborative match-up between James Patterson and Marshall Karp, and now I'm anxious for more and will probably read Karp's solo attempts as well.
