In BLACK HAWK DOWN, Mark Bowden delivers a very pwerful story of the event that took place in Mogadishu Somalia, october 3rd, 1993. The United States Army was stationed in Mogadishu to help settle the Somali government problems facing food issues, as you probably know from watching the movie "Black Hawk Down." The book however sticks extremly close to the movie, but is also longer and more detailed throughout the whole story. The book also describes the view from the Somalian side as intense and decriptive as the American's. If you like the movie, you might want to read the book. It's a fantastic book but if you know the movie and the story line as well as i do, it might become boring for you. however on another note, the book includes so much more fact and knowledge of what actually happened and the reasons behind it, along with facts and inside information of the US Army, that the movie does not. Everything in this book keeps you gripping the cover! I would say this book is a MUST READ for those who like war stories and stuff. More likely a Man's book, rather than a touching tale of true love. An excelent job by Mark Bowden. He could not have done better.

Don't forget to finish it. The review, I mean. And the book.
