I was hoping for more from this book after seeing interviews with the author. It was rather dry, and any attempts at humor fell flat to me. So did characterizations, nonsensical love relationships, and the ending. What it succeeds at is coming up with some general, interesting ideas on health innovations and how governments might partner in the future when we realize there's just not enough money out there to keep borrowing. Some of the disgruntling in the book rings as true possibilities, but mostly, I didn't care about these Americans and what they might have to deal with at all.
