This is the second in the The Sunday Philosophy Club series. Philosopher and occasional sleuth Isabel Dalhousie tackles more ethical questions, this time centred around one's obligations to friends and strangers alike. Isabel seeks to help the recipient of a donor heart who is having visions of a mysterious scarred man.

I have visited Edinburgh a number of times and like picturing the city streets. I also enjoy Smith's prose very much, and find this series quite thought-provoking.
