This was actually my first time reading an intense detective mystery novel and I really liked it. The way that there was a shift of first person to third person between the one solving the case and the one creating havoc all over the Big Apple.

I was surprised as to how descriptive and vivid the scenes were in each killing and each plan - mainly because it was a first. However, this book is so descriptive that it's really full of gore. If you have a really great imagination, you'd either love the gore or be repulsed by it.

This book was a fun read and I liked how Detective Mike Bennett's personality was throughout the book, fun, crazy and all natural. Kind of like that spunky cool dad you would always want.

His 10 adopted children were also as equally fun to imagine being so thankful to their father and grandpa Seamus also has a great sense of humor, for a Father!
