A family of mice travel with their human family across the ocean. Adventure follows them everywhere they go. Recommended for students in grades 3 - 5. The text is simple enough for young but strong readers to follow.

I personally found the story a bit young and somewhat slow. The main human characters are a pair of daughters. Olive, the elder, needs a husband and her family sets sail to England to 'give Olive her chance.' I personally was a bit uncomfortable with the focus on finding a husband and the social hierarchy of the mice. Elementary readers will either not notice or not be bothered by these details and instead will enjoy the romance and adventure of the mice.
