I only gave this book two stars for a few major reasons, one, the beginning was a complete info dump. I have been trying to get into this book for two years, and just now buckled down and forced myself to read more than the first hundred pages or so. My second reason is that the climax was horrible, as was the falling action. Plus the plot toward the end was a tad bit too predictable for my taste. The middle on the other hand, I couldn't get enough of. If only the author had taken written the beginning and end the same way she wrote the middle...Anyway, onto characters. Bethany was an interesting protagonist, and her internal battle kept things interesting. Xavier was likable and funny, plus your typical protective male type. Ivy and Gabriel were also well established and interesting characters and added to my interest in the middle of the book. Other supporting characters such as Molly and Tayliha (I think that's how you spell her name at least) I formed very little to no attachment to. I still want to read the sequel though, if only because Xavier will be in it. I would recommend this book only to people who would be willing to stick with it past the beginning. So, continue reading my fellow goodreaders.
