This is a picture book of different poems. I am not a big poem guy so it wasn't my favorite read but it was still a good book. The poems are sometimes harder to understand so I would say this book is for an older crowd. The illustrations are very good and I recommend this book to teachers who are teaching a poetry section of their class. My favorite poem in this book is "I've Learned to Sing," by Georgia Douglas Johnson
