This book is the perfect combination of being a little bit sad and finishing out happy. It is about an old school baseball star regaining his glory. It something both children and baseball lovers can both read. What interested most about this book was the illustrations. I'm not really a big baseball fan but I was absolutely captivated by this book. The cover gives off the sense that its going to be a historical story but the pages and all the pictures really show it. I love how it was set up like a scrap book. It made me feel I was sharing something very personal with the narrator of the book. The baseball cards, tickets, and other memorabilia in the book made the story even much more better.
