Let me begin by saying that I didn't like Evernight very much. The word that I have been unable to detach from it is "bearable". So, I went into Stargazer not expecting much, and at first, it looked like it was going to be just as bad as Evernight. However, as the book progressed, I found that I was actually interested in what was happening between the characters. In Stargazer, there are many more plots to follow: Bianca is slowly turning into a vampire, the Lucas-Bianca relationship, the Balthazar-Bianca relationship, ghosts are at Evernight, and more humans are being let into Evernight. I thought some of the characters had more dimention in this book, Vic and Ranulf being my favorites. I also thought Bianca got more annoying and unlikeable as I got further into the book. She is constantly lying to everyone, but when she finds out she was being lied to, Bianca had a fit and couldn't see the reasoning behind it. Bianca always puts Lucas first and, in the end, she poorly thinks through a major decision that could end up costing Bianca her life. On top of all of this, I didn't like the writing style. In several parts, I felt it was jumpy when it should have flowed smoothly. In my opinion, Stargazer was a little better than Evernight, but still gets the same rating of 2/5 stars.
