This was just a chapter from a bigger book. But what a chapter! It was a dollar or two and a quick read. The anti-intellectual has been using intellectuals (Yale lefties no less) to win elections. Great stuff! Rick Perry is bridging the academic world with the political world. A neat quick look at how a strong politician - maybe our next president - takes advantage of social science to win. The academics most have loved it: Perry (and the main character of the chapter, Dave Carney) gave them access to data and tactics that they could have only dreamed of before this. A must-read for political scientists and people involved in politics.
