This is the first time I've read this author. I enjoyed Maggie and the secondary character of of Lucy but didn't feel any real attachment for the individuls in the DC part of the story. In fact, all the flipping back and forth between the two story lines just about drove me nuts. While both plots were interesting in there own rights, I didn't like the disjointed feel it left to the book. I couldn't develop a sense of caring about any of the characters.

But the things going on at both sites were thought provoking and leads once again to the idea of individuals in the government doing what they please and then covering it up. Bureaucratic power is still alive and well.
