bookshelves: be-yourself, repetition, poem, unique, first-day-of-school, friends, differences

Helps children see how they are special being themselves rather than trying to fit in. Can be a good book for introducing poems in it's written form. An activity could be for students to write a Me I Am poem with something unique about themselves to introduce to the rest of the class; good for the beginning of the school year.
