A manifesto for the disaffected that is brilliant and affecting. I may have grown up in the punk rock era and witnessed many adopt these lifestyles first hand, but the book codifies these ways of living for the modern generation that is repressed, suppressed and brainwashed by TV. I've utilized many of the techniques of the authors and have been given grief and been made to feel guilty about my choices for much of my life by the narrow minded and insecure. No more. I feel as though my life has been validated and I will now point to this book whenever anyone questions my shoplifting, slacker attitude and love of life.
