Betty Webb, as a former journalist, chooses topics with important relevance besides providing a good mystery. This one in particular looks at the polygamist compound at the border between Arizona and Utah. Having heard her speak at Poisoned Pen in Scottsdale, AZ, I know that she received death threats after this book came out. She tells a good story and is not afraid of also pointing out some difficult truths.
