My main problem with the book - which kept it from getting 5 stars - is the frame story involving the authors. It was clumsily handled, and most of the time I didn't think it contributed much. Those parts needed to be rewritten and trimmed down.

However, the majority of the graphic novel, focusing on Bertrand Russell, is excellent. It's a moving, stimulating, funny, and sad story of the search for certainty. I loved the tension between madness and logic that runs throughout. These sections of the book are excellent; so, despite my criticism, I highly recommend this to anyone who has an interest in philosophy, logic, mathematics, or history.
