Interesting take on what society defines as beauty and "the norm."Written for teenagers, the series explores the idea of how it would be to have an operation at the age of 16 to make on "pretty." Of course, some of the more rebellious teens in the story discover that there's more than meets the eye to the operation. The hover boards in the story are fun. It's also interesting to see how this futuristic society found our era to be so barbaric. The language is Book Two (Pretties) can be quite irritating at times- but it's done that way on purpose to make a point. Even with that said, I think I liked the story line of Pretties the best. I'm not usually attracted to lots of sci-fi. But since it's a definite YA read and I'm immature, one could probably understand why I still liked it.Good quick read kind of thing.
