really liked it
Read from September 05 to 12, 2011

I do not consider myself a poetry person--sure, some of the short funny stuff is fun, a little Billy Collins is fine, and I can still recite "Mummy Slept Late and Daddy Fixed Breakfast" from my childhood--but often I don't feel like I 'get' or 'feel' poetry properly. This exquisite little book ranks right up there with Love That Dog and Make Lemonade (as well as Frost's own Keesha's House) for novels in poetry that are accessible to and will touch even those of us who think we hate poetry.

Karen Have you tried Shark Girl, by Bingham? I think the book had a much stronger impact for me because it was written in verse.
