Emily I see you didn't finish this one! Do you want me to share the 'big twist' at the end of this book with you? It's worth a laugh at least. :D

Brandy Painter Thanks Emily but I read it! After struggling with immense dislike of the style and main character for about 70 pages I skipped to the end to see if the pay off would be worth reading the middle. All I could think when I got there was: No. She. Didn't. I'm not a big fan of the way Little Women ended BUT what she did destroyed Jo's entire character arc. I am a too big a fan of the original to let that slide. :)

Brandy Painter Oh and the whole twist about Amy just made me roll my eyes.

Emily <3<3<3 You're officially my favourite. :D

The Amy twist cracked me up because it felt like something by someone who'd clearly never really thought about the book. Because OBVIOUSLY Amy is one of the Marches. She fits in perfectly with Alcott's themes, and she's the one who doesn't give up on her art (sigh, Jo, keep writing!).
